Trials for the Senior Squad will take place in Mid - September
Invitation to Scotland Trials

In approach to the IKF Eurobowl, the Scottish Korfball Association would like to invite all interested and eligible players to trial.

Training is planned for the following weekends (it is anticipated that not all sessions will be held in Scotland):

  • 19/20 Sept - Crags Sports Centre, Edinburgh - Sat 2-5 pm & Sun 11am-1pm (Sun times tbc)
  • 17/18 Oct - time and place tbc
  • 31 Oct / 1 Nov - time and place tbc
  • 6/7/8 Nov - Eurobowl in Luxembourg

Finishing in the top 3 in the Eurobowl will lead to qualification for the European Championships in 2010.

Why represent Scotland?
The Scotland squad is full of enthusiastic and dedicated players who are all keen to represent their country. The SKA is keen for the squad to progress and it tries to make opportunities available for squad players to compete at the highest levels. In the past 12 months the Scotland team has played in:

  1. South Africa – competing in the South African Championships (in lieu of the planned Commonwealth Championships), and in 3 internationals against national teams from South Africa;
  2. The Stadskanaal Tournament in the Netherlands, including an international against Sweden;
  3. The Inter Area and Home Nations Tournament in Nottingham;
  4. The 3 Nations Tournament in Luxembourg;
  5. The International Inter Area Tournament in Kent.

The SKA would be pleased to hear from anybody who is keen to join an enthusiastic squad, who is willing to train hard in the approach to the Eurobowl and beyond, and who fulfils the requirements for eligibility.

Trials will be held over the first training weekend and, if selected, attendance at all sessions is expected.
