The BUCS were on last weekend and featured teams from across the UK.

After 2 days of intense competition, Scotland's representatives at the British University Korfball Championships finished on a high note.  Edinburgh University suffered a tough pool on day one, losing out to the eventually 4th placed Cambridge by 1 goal and therefore missing out on qualification to the top pool on day 2.  St Andrews University meanwhile, sailed through their pool to ensure entry into the quarter finals.

Day 2 of the Championship saw Edinburgh regain some ground, winning the plate competition & defeating nearest rivals, Oxford by an impressive 10-3 score line.  St Andrews went on to take 5th place, beating Sheffield University in the play off and achieving their best ever finish in the National Championships.  In addition, Karen             from the Saints took the MVP award, given by the officials to the most influential female player of the tournament.

Next weekend sees the Second Team Nationals take place, where Edinburgh and St Andrews will be hoping to emulate or improve on the performances of their first teams.
